The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican and Gainbridge® Announce ‘Kicks for a Cause’ in Partnership with BayCare Health System
Annika, Gainbridge Ambassadors and LPGA Players Wore BayCare Kids Custom-Designed Golf Shoes at the Wednesday Pro-Am, Nov. 12 at Pelican Golf Club
BELLEAIR, Fla., Nov. 12, 2025 – Gainbridge® and tournament officials at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican announced today a new partnership with BayCare Health System, titled Kicks for a Cause.
Taking place today during the Wednesday Pro-Am on Nov. 12, Kicks for a Cause will amplify the stories of BayCare’s young patients by showcasing their creativity in bringing awareness to BayCare’s pediatric services, BayCare Kids.
Nine pediatric patient-designed custom golf shoes will be worn by athletes, Annika Sörenstam and her family, Pelican Golf Club staff and Gainbridge ambassadors during The ANNIKA Pro-Am. The patients’ original work has been transposed onto the shoes by artist Laced by Liv, bringing each design and story to life in a unique way.
Tournament namesake Annika Sörenstam’s custom pair of shoes, designed by 5-year-old Hazel – one of the talented young artists receiving care at BayCare – is inspired by the doctors and nurses at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa, Fla., featuring “happy hearts” drawn in their honor.
Patients and their families will attend the tournament, where they will watch the Pro-Am competition and meet the athletes and participants wearing their designs. Following the Pro-Am, Annika’s custom-designed shoes will be auctioned off to charity, with proceeds benefiting the Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation’s Birdies for Babies program, helping to provide compassionate care for BayCare Kids’ local pediatric patients. The auction package will include the Kicks for a Cause shoes signed by Annika, a certificate of authenticity and a framed photo of Annika highlighting the shoes. The auction will be live through Sunday, Nov. 16 HERE.
